About Megan Ryan

Megan is a 28-Year-Old Grad. at Algoma High School in Algoma, Wisconsin. She is a multi-sport athlete who participates in Basketball, Softball and Volleyball.

I have played AAU Basketball with the Purple Aces program for 4 years and have successfully competed in such prestigous tournaments as the NIKE Summer Showcase and Minnesota North Tartan Meltdown.
Previously, I played tournament team basketball with a local team (started) finishing 3rd twice (2007,2009), 2nd once(2008), and won the Wisconsin State Invitational Tournament Championship in 2010. I was also named to the Wisconsin State Invitational Basketball Tournament "ALL TOURNAMENT TEAM" as selected by opposing coaches, game officials and tournament directors, in three consecurive years - 2008, 2009 and 2010.
I was also a member of an Algoma School District softball team which, in 2008, finished second in the State ASA Tournament (12u) and qualified for the ASA Northern National Softball Tournament in Missouri. Competed in that tournament against "All Star Teams" from across the country and finished an amazing 5th out of 30 teams. Over the course of the 3 day, 8 game tournament, I played a total of 54 out of a possible 56 innings as Catcher in 100+ Degree heat.
Following the 2008 softball season, I chose to take a break from softball and played soccer for two years before returning to softball in this my Freshman year of High School. As a "starter" on my High School Varsity Softball team, at the end of our Conference Season, I presently carry a .425 batting average, including 5 doubles, 3 Triples and 3 Home Runs while striking out only 11 times in 23 games and committed only 5 errors all season(160 total innings). We now begin our "second season" (State Tournament) in a "lose and your out" scenario.
Pretty excited - - - my softball coach,Coach Dart, just informed me that I have been selected to the 2011 Packerland Conference - All Conference (Second Team) as a Third Baseman!
I am a 3.8-4.0 student academically and volunteer in my community as time permits.
