BROOKE ZWAYER is a 5'11", 140 lb., high school sophomore combo guard for the Olentangy LadyBraves varisty basketball team. Brooke is a Brian Agler ( Seattle Storm WNBA Head Coach) coached protege' having been coached by Coach Agler for three years in youth travel ball...with Brooke's 5th and 6th grade team going 92-0 and winning the State of Ohio Youth Championship both years. Brooke has exceptional basketball I/Q along with excellent dribbling, passing, defensive skills. She is an offensive threat not only from beyond the arc, but has an excellent mid-range shot off the dribble or can equally take it to the rim right or left. Brooke was one of the leading free throw shooters in the State of Ohio as a sophomore and freshman. Brooke was this past years leading scorer on varsity and set a new sophomore record for points scored. She was also the forth leading scorer after being called up to varsity full time the sixth game of her freshman season. Brooke played an instrumental part in the Lady Braves winning the OOC Chapionship in 2010 and 2011 and getting to the District championship game. Although Brooke is predominately left handed, she is equally skilled dribbling and shooting with her right hand or going off either foot. She demonstrates a terrific team attitude, is very coachable, and has a strong work ethic. Brooke is a gym rat and works out continually to improve her athleticism and game by implementing various footwork, dribbling, shooting, strength, speed, and quickness drills. Part of her weekly routine during the off season involves pull a sled, working out on a Vertimax, plyo box jumps and lifting weights. Brooke has attended numerous basketball camps including Point Guard College the past three years. Her goals during the off season is to get bigger, stronger, and to take her game to the next level. Besides being an excellent student athlete, Brooke is a member of Lewis Center United Methodist Church where she has been involved with the youth group's mission trip and other community volunteer charity work. She is also an instructor for Olentangy's youth basketball players. Brooke has played AAU ball with the Ohio Lady Hoopsters and the Capital City Comets the past three years playing two grade levels up. Brooke is listed on ESPN's Hoopgurlz players to watch.
