About Hanan Zaki
Hanan is a 31-Year-Old Grad. at Forsyth Central High School in Cumming, Georgia. She is a multi-sport athlete who participates in Soccer, Swimming and Volleyball.
Hi! My name is, Hanan Zaki. I am a junior at Forsyth Central High School in Cumming, Georgia. I've been playing volleyball since my freshman year in high school. So far, I've played 3 yrs including both high school and club volleyball. I'm very athletic and I've also lettered in swimming and soccer. Although I got a late start into the sport, I've come a long way and I wish to continue playing at the collegiate level. On the court, I'm a setter. And with this position comes great responsibility. I've been so fortunate to have been voted captain my freshman and sophmore years and have led my team to victory. Throughout the summer, I worked tirelessly at developing my skills as an athlete...and it payed off! This club season, I am now currently the starting setter for ProLink Atlanta's 18-1's National Team. This is a huge accomplishment for me mainly due to the fact that I'm still 16 years old.
Off the court, I'm very involved. I'm a thespian (honarary actors group) in my drama/musical theatre department. I am in Chamber (honarary show choir). I'm also a member of our GAD team (Georgia Academic Decatholon). I also participated as an actress in a Senior Group Performance at National History Day Competition last year. We won 1st in Region, 1st in State, and competed at Nationals in Washington, D.C. This year (at National History Day) I did the research, wrote the script, directed, and I was also one of the four actors in the 10 minute performance. By doing all of this, I soon lead this year's group to victory by winning 1st in Region (we are now qualified for state), yet again. I also volunteer at the election polls at my local precinct. I am currently employed as a lifeguard by SwimAtlanta during the summer.
